Admission to both MBBS and postgraduate (MD/MS/PG Diploma) courses at Shrimati Kashibai Navale Medical College is done based on merit through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
Admission in MBBS (UG Course)
- NEET UG Qualification: The first and most crucial step is to qualify the NEET-UG examination. The higher NEET score will lead to higher chances of securing an MBBS seat in Kashibai Navale Medical College.
- Counselling Registration: After qualifying NEET-UG, candidates need to register for the state-level counselling process conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State. This involves online registration and choice filling.
- Seat Allotment: The counselling process includes different rounds, like Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up, and Stray Vacancy rounds.
- Reporting to the Allotted College: Once a seat is allotted, candidates must report to SKNMC Pune with the required documents for document verification and admission confirmation.
- Management Quota Admission: Candidates who have low scores in the NEET exam can apply for admission through the management quota or Institutional quota. Although admission under the management quota is also based on NEET scores, the chances of securing a seat with a low score are higher due to the high fee structure and relatively low competition.
- NRI Quota Admission: Candidates who hold NRI status or are sponsored by an NRI can apply for admission through the NRI quota at Kashibai Navale Medical College.
